Like many parents, Censi has tried to prepare her daughters for the exams. They are strong academically so that’s not her biggest worry, she said. “They’ve never sat down for three hours” for an exam, said Censi who calls it an “insane” process. “And that’s what worries me – how are they going to cope with that.”
Her daughters took a test preparation course and she also bought preparatory workbooks. “They’re not overwhelmed and I would like to leave it like that,” she said. Preparing for the exam can be seen as part of maturing, said Amirali, who noted children will have to deal with it in the future. “But it is more how relaxed they are about the process.”
